At Go Natural Dentistry in Fort Lauderdale, Dr. Cintron and her team believe in a holistic approach to dentistry. Rather than look at your oral health in isolation, they believe that oral health is closely connected with the health of your entire body.
The Meridian Tooth Chart is a chart depicting the flow of energy across various interrelated body parts, based on acupuncture meridians. Each tooth in the meridian tooth chart is connected to a particular meridian; a path through which energy flows.
Today we look at the 7th Tooth in the Meridian Chart, also known as the second incisor or the right permanent maxillary lateral incisor and what its corresponding meridian is and the organs and systems in its pathway.
According to the chart, the 7th tooth or the second incisor is connected to the meridian of the bladder. The energy flowing through this meridian runs through the bladder, kidneys and urogenital organs. This meridian is also connected to the pineal gland, frontal sinus and the lower extremities of musculature.
The chart further depicts that the 7th tooth and its corresponding meridian is related to intestinal circulation, lymph and white blood cells, lymph tracts, sexual organs, vascular tonus, hemophilia, hematopoiesis, lymphatic blood regulators, prothrombin as well as the lymphatic defense mechanisms and buildup.
In other words, any issues that you have with the 7th tooth or second incisor can affect the functions of either of these organs or systems and vice versa. For instance, a patient needing a root canal for the second incisor might also notice that they have bladder or kidney problems. This is why oral health is so crucial for the wellbeing of the entire body.
